In Memoriam – Harvey Singer

ASHA extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Harvey Singer, who passed away peacefully on February 12 due to complications following cancer treatment. Harvey was an important member of the State of Seniors Housing (SOSH) Task Force since the late 1990s, and he continued to work on SOSH and other research projects for ASHA in the years following his retirement in 2008. ASHA president & CEO, David Schless remembered Harvey “for his keen intellect, thorough understanding of the senior living business, and an uncanny ability to scour vast amounts of data without losing focus. Although much of his work was behind the scenes, Harvey Singer played a crucial role shaping the quality of our industry’s research while at NIC and in the years following.”
