Description
This landmark report, prepared for ASHA by Dr. Margaret Wylde and Edie Smith of ProMatura, provides a wealth of information about the role adult children play in the seniors housing decision-making process.
The 34-page report is based on findings from a new national survey weighted to be representative of the general U.S. population’s age and income for households 45+ years of age. Among the numerous topics covered in this data rich report are: sense of responsibility for parents, the decision to move to seniors housing, criteria for selecting a residence for a parent, financial support, and much more. Data is examined for active adult retirement communities, 55+ apartments, continuing care retirement communities, independent living, assisted living, Alzheimer’s care facilities, and nursing homes.
