Description
This new Special Issue Brief was prepared for ASHA by ATI Advisors and was developed for federal and state policymakers in the context of the ongoing discussions on Capitol Hill. The Brief, among other things, emphasizes that assisted living should continue to be included as an eligible setting as Congress considers expansion of the Medicaid HCBS programs and highlights the unique benefits offered in senior living settings. The Brief covers home and community-based services and assisted living; the care needs of assisted living residents, who currently pays for assisted living, and frames immediate and longer-term policy considerations involving assisted living.
